What We Will Do

Learn and Improve Harmonising!

Learn the harmony lines (a 3rd up and a 3rd down)
Stress-test your harmonising skill in a 'live' setting (different from harmonising at home to YouTube/Spotify)

(Singers can opt to sing this song at the original key or at a lower key)

Practise Stage Work

Participants will get feedback on how to improve on:

their individual stage presence
communication with band members
common hand signals amongst musicians
train for leadership in a live band
comfort with stage equipment

And in general build confidence performing in a live band setting

Prep Work Included

Prior to the masterclass, participants will receive recordings of:

Mp3s of harmony lines (a 3rd up and a 3rd down)
Simple Harmony Charts (useful for people who need visual to help with listening)
Chord Chart

Singers

For anyone who wants to get used to singing with live band

Singers who PLAY

Anyone who sings but also plays either the piano or guitar (or any other instruments) and would like to improve on their playing patterns, and have real-life playing experiences with others (beyond the comfort of their own bedroom).

(You may switch around the role of a singer and an accompanist) - digital piano, drums provided; bring your own guitar

Harmonising

Anyone who aspires to dip their feet into, or improve singing harmony with other singers

Community

Anyone who wants to make more friends and make fun!

Who is The Trainer?

Bevlyn is an award-winning singer-songwriter with multiple regional album releases in Southeast Asia, and has performed extensively at public and private events (e.g. World Interpol, Dior, SIA, AirFrance, Renault, Volvo, APEC - including for Ms Hillary Clinton and international delegates). She had also represented Singapore to perform in Hong Kong and Thailand.

She co-founded one of Singapore's pioneer entertainment live bands in 2002 and had head-hunted and nurtured many local singers and instrumentalists over 20 years.

Other than composing and producing for her own albums, she was also commissioned to produce music for serial dramas, advertisements, tele-movies, and events such as Miss World Singapore, etc, and had earned nominations at 'Singapore Asia Television Awards, and Y.E.S 933's 'Singapore Hit Awards'. She also had the opportunities to vocal produce Singapore and Taiwanese television and singer celebrities.
